After establishing itself in 2018 and 2019 as the new international event of the videogame industry, and having successfully launched in 2020 the new format LEVEL School Days, LEVEL UP Rome Developer Conference in 2021 will be completely free and will take place in two formats:
The most important Italian training event entirely dedicated to the design and development of video games and interactive works, organized by the Italian Academy of Video Games (AIV), in collaboration with the Professional Technical Pole "Galileo".
LEVEL UP - Rome Developer Conference intends to bring to Rome and to Italy all the news related to science and technology of interactivity, through an exciting 3-day marathon of institutional and technical panels, talks, areas dedicated to Virtual Reality, simulations, interactive works and the Game Jam "Students for Future".
For the first time it will also host the Italian qualifiers of the Nordic Game Discovery Contest (NGDC), one of the most important competitive challenges in the world in which the selected game projects are presented live and evaluated by a jury of publishers and industry experts.
The methodological and technological solutions of the event - possibility of remote fruition, sustainable use of digital and online formats - will allow the protagonism of the participants and allow the involvement of the entire school community, ensuring the possibility of aggregating transversal audiences (parents, fans, professionals, institutions).
From a scientific point of view, LEVEL UP - Rome Developer Conference contributes to the international network of training meetings in the sector, in the same way as other similar events with which it has collaboration and mutual exchange agreements, including Devcom in Germany, Nordic Game Conference in Sweden, Reboot in Croatia.
