Rome, September 25, 2020. Let the countdown begin for LEVEL UP - School Days, the new and first educational event in Italy entirely focused on the creation and development of video games, entirely produced and managed by AIV - Italian Academy of Video Games, in collaboration with Polo Tecnico Professionale Galileo, the oldest tech high school in Rome.


Three days dedicated to simulations and interactive works for young students interested in building their career path in video game and tech industries. The event will be held from 28th to 30th September in ITIS Galileo Galilei in Rome, and will see among its main guests the Italian Ministry of Education, Lucia Azzolina, the Vice Ministry of Internal Affairs, Vito Crimi, Mirella Liuzzi - promoter of the First Playable Fund - and Alessandra Todde, both Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development. 

Aimed at bringing in Italy the top quality and innovative knowledge coming from Science and Technology of Interactivity, LEVEL UP - School Days intends to foster the development a digital culture with a three days marathon of talks, workshops, panels, lectures, VR and simulators area and a game jam dedicated to students: “Student for future”.

“Since 2004 - said Luca De Dominicis, CEO and Founder of AIV (located in  Rome, Milan and Partanna, Sicily) - we offer young people high quality and professional training courses to start a career path in the video game industry. This is a field that currently has so many different applications, from culture to cinema and tv, to health, security and defense. That’s why many Institutions and their representatives and members will attend as speakers this event, focused on young people. We are so glad and proud of it and we will keep following this path in the upcoming years.”

With Level Up School Days, AIV and Polo Tecnico Professionale Galileo become the italian pioneers and promoters of digital development in Italy, being aware of the pivotal importance of education and training of young people for the development of a better and more competitive industry.

The two partners are working to offer specific training and educational programs for young people to bring knowledge and skills that match the current industry job market.

The event is under the Patronage of Ministry of Defense, Regione Lazio, Municipality of Rome, Roma Lazio Film Commission, ANICA, CORIS - Dipartimento "Sapienza", Associazione 100autori, Anitec-Assinform and Municipality of Partanna; LEVEL UP School Days has the support of ACER with the brand Predator dedicated to gaming, and Canon, and will see the participation of Air Force V Unit.
