Doron Hirsch

Installation artist and Game Designer | Co-founder @ Kwa Qua Games

Doron Hirsch is an installation artist and game designer based in Amsterdam. He is the co-founder of Kwa Qua Games, an award winning independent game studio dedicated to designing interactive playful platforms.


His background is rooted in traditional theatre, later moving on to interactive installations and digital frameworks. His work explores innovative ways to trigger players' imagination and how the combination of art and play can bring people closer to one another.

His current project MiSH MASH is a collaborative game for making BIG and surprising surrealistic drawings. It was exhibited worldwide in various events including:
The Zürich Design Biennale, Kaboom animation Festival, European Game Showcase (GDC) and the dutch Pavilion at Gamescom & Tokyo Game Show.


Giving Players Super Powers

A deep dive into the exciting and unpredictable world of experimental games that focus on user generated content.

The talk covers examples of UGC uses from various games and how integrating your players input can benefit both the games financial success and development process.

We will look at examples of beautiful and funny things that can happen when letting the players of your game be the main content creators.
Ways UGC can assist with your games community building, marketing and brand awerenss.
Ending with things to consider when embarking on a UGC path and lessons learned (and am still learning) from the development process of 'Mish Mash'.
