Luca Palmili

Unity3D Teacher @ AIV - Accademia Italiana Videogiochi

Animation and RootMotion in Unity

After a short introduction of the concept of animation in Unity, the workshop will show how to import animations from humanoid avatars in Unity in a correct way, trying to detect potential and most common problems during the import.

RootMotion will be analyzed in depth, to see when and how it is better used.

Participants will also be able to see and study the complete workflow of motion capture: starting from the session of the capture of the movements (with tests during the workshop) to their correct import in Unity.

In the final part, participants will be able to move their avatars using the movements captured at the beginning of the workshop.
