VALERIO DI DONATO

Game Designer & CEO at 34BigThings

Veteran developer with more than ten years of experience in the game industry, Valerio is currently CEO at 34BigThings.

 

With 34BigThings he developed "Redout", that won the Italian Videogames Award in 2017.

He graduated at Bocconi University in Milan and then attended Media, Technology and Games and Computer Science Master at IT University in Copenhagen.

Beyond the Agile: an iterative approach to pipeline optimization

Optimizing a pipeline is probably one of the most complex and interesting problems of modern game development. We ran a series of short iterative sprints on our new titles in order to reduce the bureocratic overhead and improve the team efficiency during all stages: pre-production, production and post-launch. We will explain the methodologies developed during those sprints and highlight the best and worst cases for each section.
